They told us what the name of their boat meant but we have forgotten. It was Carol's birthday the day before. We planned to do this little book as a birthday gift. We brought beer down with us.

John is Canadian and he knows good beer. They had had a string of visitors and were painting when we showed up.This marine paint they use is tough stuff. Metal in the water is a rust reaction waiting to happen so this is an ongoing process.

The odor was thick. The paint is mixed with some other medium and it doesn't dry, it cures. And the second coat has to go on in a matter of days or there won't be any pores in the surface for it to adhere to.

You don't want to stray too far from the blue and white nautical color scheme unless you want to stick out like a sore thumb and probably pay double for the odd colors. Besides white is a must when you're in the sun all day.
