And I used to tease her a lot about leaving me

Only one station was coming in clear and I fine-tuned it til
it just disappeared

from the airwaves. Now when anything's shining like a planet
in the night

or a boxcar from a wino jungle firelight.. or tombstone granite

or a fresh idea in a troubled mind then I think I see

And I try to focus on her silhouette but it's just a shovel
where I hung my hat
